Official guidelines issued by HRD Korea and published by the Embassy of Nepal in Seoul for E-9 non-professional workers converting to the E-7-4 Skilled Worker visa. Who Can Apply? (E-9 Criteria) 1. Lived in Korea for 4 years or more within the last 10 years (non-metropolitan: 3 years, population-declining area: 2 years). 2. Worked for current employer for at least 1 year with an employer recommendation. 3. Signed a 2-year E-7-4 contract (KRW 26M+/year). 4. K-Point E74 Score: 200+ points out of 300 total. Korean Language Grace Period (Until Dec 31, 2026) Apply without TOPIK or KIIP score if K-Point E74 score reaches 150+ points (excluding language points). Korean score must be submitted before the next visa extension. Family invitation is eligible after submitting language scores. Benefits: Long-term stay without leaving/re-entering Korea, ability to invite family, and continuous skill development.
